Description[]

Chester is a travelling salesman who carries a large cabinet drawer on his back. He is seen frequently around Olathe selling many useful armours and weapons to Brad, while also giving a cheerful little remark before going to the store menu.

Locations[]

Lisa: The Joyful[]

Chester is seen in LISA: THE JOYFUL in the first crossroads to sell Buddy typical healing items. If Buddy speaks to Chester without a mask on then he will give a shocked remark before attacking her. If he is battled this way he has very little HP and can be defeated in as few as only one turn. Defeating him will reward you great amount of Mags.

Be wary though that defeating Chester in battle will kill him and remove him from the Overworld.

If Chester is still around after the first 3 bosses in Crossroads 1 are defeated, he will re-emerge as a Joy Mutant the moment Buddy interacts with him. He shows up with a grotesquely elongated head with a large lump growing off the side. Chester has substantially more HP in this form and may prove to be more troublesome to defeat.

Trivia[]

  • Chester's name is a play on words for "chest," which is a common word used to describe a cabinet or dresser. It also coincides with the fact that he isn't wearing a shirt, leaving him with a bare chest.
  • Chester is possibly of Jewish descent, as he says "Oy vey..." if defeated by Buddy. "Oy vey" is a Yiddish phrase indicating dismay or grief.
