- "This is finally the end for you, Rangers!"
- ―Demon X
Description[]
Demon X is a fearsome foe who wears a purple mask with a large X on it, and two enormous horns. He is found in the Sands confronting the Salvation Rangers, who had previously bailed after the Construction Site cutscene.
After an interruption by Brad's party, Salvation Black, having just reminisced of a childhood trauma, comes up with an idea to escape into a nearby cave and trap Demon X within the door frame.
Brad later enters the cave that the Rangers have hidden in and after some small banter Demon X manages to squeeze through the doorway sideways. This scares the Rangers away and Demon X is left alone and bitter, wondering who the real bad guys were.
Locations[]
Notes[]
- The battle against Demon X is unwinnable by design. Brad's party is unable to hurt him conventionally, and his attacks do a whopping 100,000+ damage to the entire party. The battle MUST be lost in order for the cutscene to progress.
- It is, however, possible to defeat Demon X by using the Stink status effect for 10% evasion to dodge his first wave of attacks, then using Poison to kill him over the course of several turns. Upon being defeated, he will accuse the player of cheating, call them an asshole, and then cause an instant Game Over. Example
- Demon X is meant to be completely invincible and immune to all forms of damage, including Poison, but due to an oversight in the game's coding, he is instead immune to the version of Poison that is given to party members (-2% HP each turn) rather than the one applied to enemies (-10% HP each turn).

- As a fun fact, Demon X's damage output appears to be significantly higher than Buzzo's. This is because his attack has an additional digit in its damage formula, having a base damage of 99999 instead of Buzzo's 9999.
Trivia[]
- Demon X's high attack might just be Brad and his party playing along with the Salvation Rangers, acting more hurt than they actually are.
