Herb is a Joy Mutant that is only found in Pain Mode. His body has grown fat and his arm is crooked. His face seems normal. He is the smallest Joy Mutant that can be fought in the series.

- Well to Snow, on the bottom floor only on Pain Mode.
Battle[]
Despite his small size and somewhat less horrific appearance compared to the other mutants, Herb is not to be taken lightly. He is just as likely to use Fatal Chomp as Beady and Hawk, meaning that he is in the three-way tie for second most lethal Joy Mutant (after Peter). The only difference between Herb and Beady/Hawk other than appearance is that Herb has slightly less HP.
As with all Joy Mutants and the Area 3 mutants especially, take extreme precaution around Herb.
Notes[]
- In the art gallery, it is shown that his sprite is a reused asset from a possible time where Olan Hoyt could have meant to be a Joy addict, as seen in Olan's unused Joy Mutant sprite.
- In the Definitive Edition, Olan becomes a Joy Mutant after being given Joy by Brad. He can be seen on top of the Aurora Town bar after a campfire conversation.
- There also exists a sprite of a unmutated version of him in the art gallery, along with a sprite of him urinating into the background.
