Olan is a Party Member found early on in Lisa in a bar, his favorite place. He joins Brad's party after Brad buys him a drink.
Olan is an alcoholic bowman who is a great party member providing huge amounts of DPS and poison.

An obliviously optimistic man. Olan had a decent family, a wife and two daughters. Often he would be found downing cocktails in the bar. Aside from that, he would be in his garage shooting targets. He neglected his family.
Appearance and Personality[]
Olan is a man with black hair, cheek bones and a big red nose. he wears a straw hat with a big red feather and a green shawl with a knot.
Olan is a alcoholic man with little regards to family, yet he's rather kind to Brad.
How to invite to Party[]
In the Area 1 Crossroads, if you enter and traverse through the first cave on the left you'll find a bar to the right of the cave entrance. Enter the bar and you will find both Olan and Rage Ironhead hanging out inside. All you have to do to recruit Olan is buy him a drink for 20 mags. After some friendly banter Olan will offer to join Brad's party.
Battle[]
Olan is a very resourceful party member, and one of the several allies who use TP instead of SP. He is arguably the best TP user in the entire game; all of his skills are TP-cheap and it's rather easy to refill his meter.
Olan's bowsman skills have a wide range of effects, some of his more useful skills include his Rapid Arrows, which deal an impressive amount of multi-hit damage. He also has the uncanny ability to hide himself with Vantage Point, which makes him targeted a lot less often by enemies. Overall Olan is a great addition to any team that focuses on strategy, rather than brute force.

- Olan's main form of attacking are multi-hit attacks, so it's best not to use them if he's inflicted with HIT rate lowering status effects.
Trivia[]
- Olan made his first appearance in sacrifice trailer. He is seen hanging around with Brad, Hawk and Rage. After Brad being surrounded by enemies, he is seen decapitated.
- In the art book for the Painful, there's an unused sprite of Olan as a joy mutant with a very similar body shape to Herb, suggesting he could have been a joy addict at some point during development.
- In the Definitive Edition, if Brad has taken Joy one to two times in-game, he and Olan can have a campfire conversation where Brad gives Olan Joy. After a second conversation, Olan will leave the party. Going back to the Aurora Town bar where Olan was first encountered, he can be seen on the roof, in his previously unused Joy Mutant form.
- Olan's last name might be a reference to Hoyt Archery, an American manufacturer of recurve and compound bows.
- In the files of the game, Olan's animations are labeled under the name "Orlando".
